CATHEDRAL St. Reparata - NICE



The Cathedral of St. Reparata Nice (under the invocation of St. Reparata, Virgin and martyr, patron of Florence and Nice and its diocese) located in The Old Town was built between 1650 and 1699, the year of his consecration.

Originally rectangular and oriented to the north, the cathedral was rebuilt on the model of the church of Sainte-Suzanne Rome: a Latin cross, facing east, with a dome, to color glazed tile fashionable sponge, the crossing. The building style is Baroque.

Major Organ

I t is a neo-classical organ with four keyboards and 69 games. should rebuild the organ (initially Martella of 1901) factor Jean-Loup Boisseau. The instrument is unfortunately reduced silence since March 2005 and requires extensive repairs.
