The nave


The nave with four bays and aisles is Gothic style. They date back to Abbot Hugh of Glavin death in 1250. Our Lady of the Guard, also known locally as "Good Mother" is a minor basilicas of the Catholic Church. It is located on a rocky peak of 149 meters south of the Old Port of Marseille, elevated 13 meters through walls and foundations of an ancient fort




Built by architect Henry Espérandieu in the Romano-Byzantine and dedicated June 5, 1864, it replaced a chapel built by the same name 1214 and rebuilt in the fifteenth century. THE CATHEDRAL OF AMIENS



Cathedral of Amiens has been listed 1981 at the UNESCO World Heritage. With its 145m length, a height of 112m spire and vault under 42m, an internal volume of 200 000m3, is one of the tallest and largest buildings ever higher. It is the largest church in France. Because of the importance of the Russian community located in Nice during the second half of the nineteenth century, it was decided the construction of a Russian church in the city. The Tsarina Alexandra Feodorovna in 1856 launched a subscription and the Church of Saint Nicolas and Saint-Alexandra Street Longchamp was inaugurated in 1859. The need for a new place of worship was felt. In 1903, the park Bermond, began building a cathedral.
