There are approximately 3,000 castles, farm-castles, fortresses, mansions and palaces in Belgium. Belgium has the highest density high castles per square kilometer in the world, merely the highest. Some regions (eg Condroz the Hesbaye, Brabant ...) have the two castles by means village.
